We are a full service casting directorship and handle our projects from start to finish. Stephen apprenticed and trained at the seminal firm Anderson, McCook & White in Los Angeles and has been a successful, award-winning casting director. His skills and artistry have been proven over the course of the past 31 years on somewhere just shy of 5000 projects for clients all over the world. His commercials have won Clio Awards and he is also the recipient of casting’s highest honor, the Artios Award ® for excellence in casting from his peers in the Casting Society of America ® of which he’s been a member for over 20 years. He has received two additional Artios ® nominations and remains the only casting director in history to win the award as a solo/principal casting director working outside of New York or Los Angeles. So he’s an expert at handling your casting project in the most artistic and efficient way. Services are divided by the venue for which the project is being cast. They include:
Stephen casts principal actors on lead and supporting roles from local hires to “name” leads. He consults on unfunded scripts for a reading and consulting fee that can be forwarded to his final rate to do the project once it’s greenlit and funded. Since this work is quoted based upon a number of parameters that change from job to job, he quotes a customized rate for each project based on the individual requirements it presents. He’ll be glad to quote a rate after breaking down the demands of your project and can also advise on casting strategies and offer rates for “name” actors.
Our services in these venues are broken down into the following categories: Prep which includes dissemination of the requirements of the casting to agencies, fielding and organizing submissions and contacting freelancers under consideration and selection and scheduling of talent. Prep also covers the setting up of callbacks, dissemination and maintaining of rights of 1st refusal for narrowed-down cast and eventual bookings. Prep also covers Station 12 clearances of union casts and the construction and filing Taft Hartley requests for waiver with SAG-AFTRA. Casting sessions are directed by Stephen as close to production value as possible and with prior consultation and input from the director. Sessions are presented to the production team on the FastCast capture and delivery format for maximum client convenience and ease of consideration and selection. Individual video reads can be watched as streaming video or downloaded in Windows Media format or Quicktime. Callbacks are treated the same as casting days where we’re happy to host our clients. We also supply video editing where necessary and the construction of talent release forms customized for the project.
In order to keep overhead costs as low as possible to maintain client-friendly rates, we utilize audition space on an as needed basis at either the historic ACT Theater or Eclectic Theater both in the Downtown Seattle area. Please feel free to call us at 206.903.6500 for our availability, our current rates and a quote for your project.
