Each time I face a group of actors in a panel discussion or seminar, the questions always seem to focus mainly on one area: "How can I gain the maximum amount of control over the experience of auditioning?"

Even the most skilled professionals will experience nervousness or a lack of focus that can get in the way of doing their best work. Many have difficulty with auditions that require ‘cold reading’ of scripts. Others experience confusion around a definite creative choice in their reads, and feel at effect of the words rather than being able to use the script to create their own unique characterization. “The Empowered Actor” Workshops are split into two segments, scheduled on consecutive weekend days. All workshops are kept to a minimum number of people to ensure everyone a valuable experience.
